    I wanted to know about the 2009 admissions in Manipal institute of technology, manipal, what is the average aieee rank of students getting the top branches in Manipal, is Manipal better than Vellore

    Well no one can tell you the average aieee rank for those who get through Manipal as there is a different test for manipal .. top 7-800 ranks get a decent branch... Well for what i know from my friends in vellore, Manipal is much better

    I know there is a different test for manipal i just wanted to know the standard of students by comparing their ranks to aieee ranks... anyways thanks a lot for replying

    i wanted to take admission into MTECH-CS.... whats the procedure for it... when do i need to apply?
    Is ENAT for mtech entrance as well...or its for btech.

    i am a second year student and in my year people with aieee ranks as low as 12000 took admission in mit.
    a rank of around 5000 in mit entrance exam can fetch you a seat.

    everything is given here just go through the site and don't be lazy as for ranks dont compare aieee and manipal tests because its of no consequence(since the ranks are based on relative marking scheme for both) if your within 2000 you should be able to get any branch you want(by upgrades etc) but within 5000 you will get the seat btw they are increasing the number of seats anyway

    there are a few seats for diploma holders in 2nd year BE. I think there will be an option for it in the Manipal form and you can take it forward from there with the admission office

    given that
    -you have the min required marks in pcm
    -you get a rank in the enat
    -and you have cleared everything before councelling

    That should do it.
    But i am not sure so you should check it with the admissions office

    I am a first year student @ MIT. To tell you frankly.......Manipal ENAT is easier than most other engineering entrance exams except that because of the stress of solving and completing(<strong>And the questions are jumbled up i.e all the questions of all subjects are mixed which makes it damn irritating)</strong> such a lengthy paper many of them end up making very silly mistakes.My rank in ENAT 2008 was 3896 but still I had to wait to get a seat in MIT Civil Engineering Branch. You just need to be attentive in that quantum of Time during which the exam is going on..........Who knows you might end up getting a freeship @ MIT...........

    @ Priyanka...
    don't try 2 compare AIEEE n ENAT becoz:
    1)different marking schemes(final enat score vl depend on luck as no negative marking)
    2)Ranking can be completely different ..a low ranker can get gud rank in ENAT.
    don't worry prepare 4 aieee well and all is done then.

    if your score is above 100 you can hope for a seat in the 2nd councelling..
